Quick answers to common issues
1. Check if the extension is enabled: Click the StreamBlur icon in your browser toolbar. Make sure the toggle is ON.
2. Refresh the page: Sometimes a page needs to be refreshed for StreamBlur to scan new content.
3. Check site permissions: Some sites may be disabled in your settings. Go to extension options and check the site list.
4. Hard refresh: Try Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) to clear cache.
1. Download the ZIP file from our website
2. Extract/unzip to a folder on your computer
3. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable "Developer mode" (top right toggle)
5. Click "Load unpacked" and select the extracted folder
The extension should now appear in your toolbar!
Simply hover over the blurred content to temporarily reveal it. The blur will return after you move your mouse away.
For Pro users, you can also click the StreamBlur icon and use the "Pause Protection" button to temporarily disable all blurring.
StreamBlur is designed to be lightweight. All processing happens locally on your device with minimal CPU usage.
If you notice performance issues, try disabling protection on sites you don't need it for.
1. After purchasing, you'll receive a license key via email
2. Click the StreamBlur extension icon
3. Go to Settings → License
4. Enter your license key and click Activate

No. StreamBlur processes everything 100% locally on your device. Your screen content, API keys, and sensitive data never leave your machine.
The only network requests are for license validation (Pro users) and optional anonymous usage analytics.
