Discord Bot Tokens

Your bot token is the master key to your bot. If leaked during a screen share, anyone can take control. StreamBlur auto-detects Discord token patterns.

HIGH PRIORITY

Webhook URLs

Discord webhook URLs let anyone send messages to your channels. StreamBlur detects the discord.com/api/webhooks/ pattern automatically.

AUTO-DETECTED

OAuth2 Secrets

Client secrets for Discord OAuth2 apps are blurred automatically, protecting your application's authentication credentials.

AUTO-DETECTED

Third-Party API Keys

Building a bot that uses OpenAI, Stripe, or database services? All those keys visible in your browser get blurred too.

Discord FAQ

Does StreamBlur work with Discord's built-in screen sharing?

Yes! StreamBlur blurs secrets at the browser level, so when Discord captures your screen, the blur is already applied. Your viewers see the blurred version in real-time.

Does it work with Discord Go Live?

Absolutely. Go Live captures what's on your screen, and StreamBlur ensures any secrets visible in Chrome are already blurred before Discord captures them.

Will my Discord bot token be detected?

Yes. StreamBlur detects Discord bot tokens, OAuth2 client secrets, webhook URLs, and many other Discord-specific credential patterns automatically.

Can I temporarily show a secret to a trusted friend?

Yes - toggle Stream Mode off with Alt+Shift+S, share what you need, then toggle it back on. You can also click individual blurred items to temporarily reveal them when Stream Mode is off.

Does any data get sent to StreamBlur's servers?

No. All detection and blurring happens locally in your browser. Your credentials never leave your machine. See our privacy architecture page for details.

Does it slow down Discord?

Not at all. StreamBlur uses lightweight CSS-based blur filters and efficient pattern matching. The performance impact is negligible - single-digit milliseconds per page load.
